🇺🇸 HOW WAGYU CAME TO AMERICA: THE STORY OF THE FIRST FOUR BULLS

To understand the incredible American Wagyu industry we have today, we have to go back to 1975—and the four Wagyu bulls that made their way from Japan to the United States for research.

At the center of this incredible story is 105-year-old Dr. John Matsushima, whose groundbreaking work at Colorado State University connected him directly to those original four bulls.

Helping us bring this incredible piece of Wagyu history to life is Dr. Keith Belk of Colorado State University, along with members of Dr. Matsushima’s family.

FUN FACT: The United States is the only documented country to have ever received live Wagyu cattle imports from Japan!

From four bulls to an industry that spans the nation- this is a story worth knowing. 🇺🇸
