Our club meets on the first and third Wednesdays of each month, at 12:00pm at The Highlands Golf Club and Grill in beautiful Post Falls Idaho. Our Club helps support local youth scholarships, reading programs, The Post Falls Food Bank, The Post Falls Needy Family Fund, Toys for Tots, Idaho Youth Ranch, The Windermere Foundation, immunizations, International Relief Fund and volunteer recognition. The world's first service club, the Rotary Club of Chicago, Illinois, USA, was formed on 23 February 1905 by Paul P. Harris, an attorney who wished to recapture in a professional club the same friendly spirit he had felt in the small towns of his youth. The name "Rotary" derived from the early practice of rotating meetings among members' offices.Rotary's popularity spread throughout the United States in the decade that followed; clubs were chartered from San Francisco to New York. By 1921, Rotary clubs had been formed on six continents, and the organization adopted the name Rotary International a year later.

Join us Wednesday, September 16th to hear from Jeanette Laster, Executive Director of the Human Rights Education Institute, serving Eastern Washington, Western Montana, and Northern Idaho!

Jeanette brought her expertise to North Idaho in 2008, recruited to help launch the Salvation Army Kroc Center Aquatic Department in Coeur d'Alene, her third aquatic center built from the ground up. She spent three years with United Way as Community Impact Coordinator, connecting resources to local nonprofits, and has dedicated 35 years to the American Red Cross as a Disaster Management, Aquatics, Health, and Safety Services Instructor Trainer, currently with the Greater Inland Northwest Chapter.

A graduate of Leadership Coeur d'Alene, Advanced Leadership Coeur d'Alene, and RiverCity Leadership, Jeanette's community impact has earned major recognition: Soroptimist 2020 Woman of Distinction, 2020 H.A.Y.D.E.N. Chamber Award for advancing Human Rights, and North Idaho College's 2021 Community Woman of the Year.

Don't miss this chance to hear from a true champion of community service and human rights!

Please join us Wednesday, September 2nd as we welcome Nicole Frens from the Literacy Project of North Idaho.

Before moving to Idaho, she started several businesses of varying complexity, which left her with a collection of skills that come in handy at The Literacy Project.

She joined the organization in 2024 and, after spending a few years learning All The Things, now oversees everything from programs to volunteers to events, oh, my!

🚨 Northwest wildfire response volunteers needed 🚨

When disaster strikes, communities need more than good wishes. They need helping hands.

Disaster Aid USA is deploying volunteers to support communities impacted by wildfires across the Northwest. Whether you're handy with tools, willing to lend a hand clearing debris or able to help behind the scenes, there’s a place for you to serve.

As Rotarians, we know what it means to be People of Action. This is an opportunity to turn compassion into action and help families and communities begin the road to recovery.

✅ Chainsaw & debris removal
✅ Assisting homeowners recovering from loss
✅ Clearing homesites for rebuilding
✅ Supporting volunteer operations

Training is provided, and all skill levels are welcome.

If you're able to help, consider signing up and making a difference where it's needed most. Together, we can help communities recover, rebuild and heal. 💙

A special thank you to Rotarian Dan Crawford who is always ready to step up when disaster strikes and is helping organize local volunteer efforts. We're grateful for his leadership and commitment to serving others.

What a great way to make an Epic Impact! Trash pick up along Seltice. Thank you to all the Rotarians that joined in- we even had a prospective member, Michael, join in!

Huge shout out to Midtown Deli outside of Corby’s- they offered up bottled water and warm fresh chocolate chip and maple cookies. Go show them love if you can. Their menu looks delish!

Christi is wearing Jerry Sinn’s old hat. His Rotary service spirit was with us while the rain held off for us.
