🌱 Rick Noordam Community Garden Update! 🌱

The garden is growing and giving! 🍅🥬🫛

🍅 Our Golden Nugget tomatoes are producing big time — about 10 lbs harvested Sunday, with plenty more on the way!
🥬 Kale is thriving, and we’re harvesting the outer leaves to keep it growing.
🫛 Pole beans are ramping up and should be ready soon!
🥒 We harvested the last of our Green Griller zucchini and composted the plants.

🌱 We’ve also planted our next round of spinach, lettuce, bush beans, beets, carrots, and radishes!

And the best part? These fresh harvests will soon be making their way to our neighbors through the food bank. 💚

The garden is growing, and so is the impact! 🌿❤️

🎒💙 A BIG Thank You to the Post Falls Kiwanis 💙🎒

We’re so grateful for the Post Falls Kiwanis and their support of our Weekend Backpack Program as we kick off the 2026–2027 school year!

Their generosity helps ensure local children have nutritious food to take home over the weekends. We’re thankful for community partners like Kiwanis who help us make a difference! 🥰

🚔🎉 We’re heading to National Night Out TONIGHT! 🎉🚔

Come see us at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds from 4:00–8:00 PM for an evening of family fun, community, and meeting your local first responders!

We’ll be there collecting food donations for 3rd Avenue Marketplace Food Bank & Senior Café. If you’re able, we’d be so grateful if you brought a few nonperishable food items to help support local families, seniors, and children in need. Every donation makes a difference! 🥫💚

Be sure to stop by our booth, say hello, and enjoy all the amazing activities the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office has planned. We can’t wait to see you there! 🚒🚓👮🍔

A HUGE thank you to Shine 104.9 / KEEH, Super 1 Foods, and everyone who stopped by to donate. Because of your generosity, we collected an amazing 1,770 pounds of food and $863 to help support local families! 🥫💵

Every can, every dollar, and every act of kindness helps put food on the table for our neighbors in need. We couldn’t do this without such an amazing community!

This Shine 104.9 / KEEH Food Drive isn't just about filling shelves—it's also a friendly competition between food banks across North Idaho and Eastern Washington. 🎄🥫

Sandpoint Food Bank took home the bragging rights last year...but we think it's our turn! Help us outshine the competition by donating a few much-needed food items and showing what our community can do when we come together.

This grant helps support the behind-the-scenes costs of our food recovery program—from truck fuel and vehicle maintenance to warehouse operations—so we can continue rescuing and distributing food to families in our community.
