Please help us congratulate Army Veteran Richard "RJ" Puterbaugh (holding his new Yamaha guitar). We just graduated him after completing G4V lessons expertly taught by one of our our new instructors (pictured right) Mike McCafferty. Great job RJ - I hope you have any epic journey, and that we see you playing tons of music in your future! A big thanks again to the American Legion Post 143 Post Falls for allowing us to utilize their fine facility for our program. 👏

Another of our Post Falls G4V veterans graduated recently! Pictured left is G4V instructor Tony Stetson with student Matt Gosney on the right receiving his new Fender acoustic guitar. I hope you have a great musical journey Matt. I can tell you that Matt was quite moved to receive one of the guitars that came to us as a result of a gracious donation in honor of Marty Laing's late husband Keith (They are both pictured below). Keith had built and collected many custom guitars and had passed away last year from a battle with cancer. Marty found our organization and knew Guitars 4 Vets would be an excellent way to honor Keith's legacy - putting guitars in the hands of our veterans! I also want to thank Matt Pittman, a family friend of Keith and Marty. Matt worked hard to assure Keith's guitars & build parts went to organizations throughout our community, and he used some funds to purchase us these new Fender acoustic guitars.

Ken Dube (pictured left) was another recent graduate of G4V Post Falls Idaho. He finished his last lesson at the American Legion Post 143 Post Falls and was presented with a new Yamaha Keith Urban model acoustic guitar by his instructor Kris Lawhead! Thank you for your service Ken, and also thanks to Kris for the donation of his time in coaching ken - teaching him the healing powers of music through the wood and strings of an acoustic guitar.

I'll help you fill out the donation form - super easy, and we'd love to involve you in the presentation process too. We're so lucky to have such a generous community here in north Idaho.

Happy first day of Spring!

If you’re decluttering this spring and find a guitar you’re ready to part with, consider giving it a new life with Guitars for Vets. Your gently used instrument can help a Veteran get off of our long waitlist, and into the program.

How to donate:
- Go to guitars4vets.org/find-a-chapter/
- Find the chapter closest to you
- Email the chapter coordinator to arrange a pick-up or drop-off

Spring is all about fresh starts, why not help a Veteran start fresh in their healing journey?

Merry Christmas to our Post Falls G4V Chapter! Tonight we received a nice used bass guitar to use for teaching bass lessons. Huge thanks go out to "Moe" Thibert from Rathdrum for his generous donation to our chapter. It's a very nice looking guitar. We will certainly get some good use out of this guitar while teaching our local veterans. Operation Bass Camp here we come...

Our chapter needs your help spreading the word please. We want to start Operation Bass Camp (OBC) but are in need of a good used bass guitar AMPLIFIER for local chapter use. We just received a nice bass guitar to be used by veterans who are practicing to learn the bass, but still need an amp and cord. If you know of anybody who has a bass guitar amplifier that they would be willing to donate, the process is very easy with a few photo's and a form we fill out together. Please get in touch with me at [email protected] Thank you!
