Our next Freeform Music Expression group is NEXT WEEK, October 22nd at 6:30 PM! This group is open to all adults at no-cost! We hope to see you there! 🎵

🎼NEW MUSIC GROUP!🎼

Led by an established musician and therapist, Dave Kinsella, this engaging and interactive group music experience invites participants to discover the power of music as a creative outlet for self-expression, relaxation, and connection. Kinsella is also part of the 3rd Shelf Kava Band who recently performed at the Button Factory on 7/25!

Starting on August 24th at 6:30 PM, this group will continue into 2027:

September 17th at 6:30 PM
October 22nd at 6:30 PM
November 19th at 6:30 PM
December 10th at 6:30 PM
January 14th at 6:30 PM
February 11th at 6:30 PM
March 25th at 6:30 PM

Welcome Sheridan, our new intern! 🎉🎨🌈

"I am a multimodal artist, activist, and community organizer currently pursuing a graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, specializing in the Expressive Arts. I hold a BFA in Sculpture from Maine College of Art and Design and have taught ceramics in a community art setting. My previous experience is varied yet deeply informs how I enter the field of mental health. I use art as a way to work through mental health challenges, as I believe that art-making and self-care are synonymous! I am excited to join the Connections Peer Support community to share lived experiences through fun, expressive creative prompts involving visual art, movement, music, and poetry."

Sheridan facilitates a weekly Peer Expressive Arts studio group every Tuesday at 2:15! All are welcome!🌈

Last week, we had the pleasure of attending and participating in the Regional Mental Health Alliance Seasonal Gathering with our partners from the Dover, Somersworth, Portsmouth and Rochester mental health alliances. Dover Mental Health Alliance Portsmouth Mental Health Alliance

Our Executive Director, Fred Poisson, who is the current chair of the Portsmouth Mental Health Alliance, helped plan the event with our community partners and spoke about his "why."

Events like this remind us how important community is.💚
