📣 LOCAL LIFT ADVOCACY ALERT | Portsmouth, NH

There’s a lot happening around housing in Portsmouth right now. The City’s draft Housing Action Plan lays out potential next steps ranging from multifamily and cottage housing to commercial-to-residential conversions, zoning changes, 79-E incentives, workforce housing tools, senior housing, and more.

And some of these aren’t distant ideas. Several priority actions are proposed to begin within the next six months.

Tomorrow’s public input session is a chance to learn more about what’s being considered, ask questions, and be part of the conversation about Portsmouth’s future.

Our next Pop Up Care Village is coming to Somersworth! 💚

On Wednesday, September 30th, we’ll be at Greater Seacoast Health from 1:00 to 5:00 PM, bringing together local organizations, services, resources and neighbors all in one place.

We’ll have free showers, free haircuts, essentials, health and community resources, housing support, connections to local services and more. And as always, there is no appointment required. Just show up.

🚌 Getting there without a car? COAST Route 12 stops right on site at NH 108 (Goodwin Community Health) and connects Dover, Somersworth and Rochester.

Pop Up Care Villages are for anyone who could benefit from the resources and services available. You do not need to be unsheltered to attend. Whether you’re looking for support, worried about your housing situation, helping someone else find resources, or simply want to learn what’s available in your community, you are welcome.

We’re excited to share that Home For All and our Pop-Up Care Villages are featured in the new When We Walk By Workbook, coming September 15! 📖✨

Created by Kevin F. Adler and Donald W. Burnes, the workbook builds on When We Walk By with practical ways for individuals and communities to better understand homelessness, challenge harmful assumptions, and take action.

It’s pretty special to see the Pop-Up Care Villages included and to have the work happening here on the Seacoast become part of a larger conversation about homelessness, housing instability, and how communities can show up differently.

Our next Pop-Up Care Village is TOMORROW in Seabrook! Join us at Rockingham Village Apartments from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM for an afternoon of free services, resources, essentials, and community connections all in one place.

We’ll be joined by an amazing group of community partners offering everything from health and housing resources to food support, peer support, veterans services, free haircuts, back-to-school supplies, and more!
