Did you know that HAVEN facilitates support groups in local county jails? During a recent therapeutic community group, participants completed a safe place exercise, starting with a guided visualization and then expressing their visions through painting and drawing. This creative activity encouraged reflection on comfort, inner strength, and resilience, highlighting the power of art as a tool for healing and personal growth.

On Tuesday, HAVEN tabled in 4 towns across New Hampshire for National Night Out, connecting with hundreds of community members in each location. It was a night of meaningful conversations, valuable resource sharing, and a shared commitment to community care and empowerment.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our tables, grabbed materials, and helped us spread awareness. Events like these make sure we can reach everyone who may need our services. đź’ś

The groundbreaking on Route 1 in June was a partnership; housing, worship, history, and survivor services, all on one site. But each piece has to be funded on its own.

HAVEN’s home is ours to raise. The Building Dignity Campaign is how we get there and how survivors across the Seacoast finally get a space designed for safety, healing, and dignity.

What a special day at St. Andrew’s-by-the-Sea! We were honored to join Martha Byam, Gary Fincke, and the parish community in celebrating the church’s 150th anniversary. During the service, Bishop Rob highlighted HAVEN and our partnership with Christ Episcopal Church as a cornerstone of the building project on Lafayette Rd. After Mass, we enjoyed connecting with parishioners and sharing more about our work and vision for the community.

We are also incredibly grateful to have been the recipient of the day’s collection, which raised more than $2,500 in support of our campaign. Thank you for your generosity and partnership! 💙

The shovels are in the ground.

After a search that took the better part of a decade, HAVEN has officially broken ground on our first permanent home! 17,000 sq. ft. facility on Route 1 in Portsmouth, built for the survivors we serve. For 46 years, we’ve done this work in borrowed and rented spaces. This changes everything.

Swipe through a look at the day our community made history. If you were there: thank you. If you couldn’t make it: we brought you with us.

This is just the beginning of the Building Dignity Campaign.
