Another busy and productive day at IBEW Local 575!

We started the morning by welcoming and swearing in our newest brothers and sisters to the IBEW. Congratulations to each of them as they begin their journey in our Brotherhood. We’re proud to help get them started on the right path with the training, opportunities, and support that come with being an IBEW member.

Later in the day, we joined fellow IBEW local unions from across Ohio to meet with Amy Acton and discuss issues important to working families, workforce development, infrastructure investment, and the future of Ohio’s electrical industry.

Strong unions, skilled workers, and engaged leadership help build a stronger future for our communities.

Anyone can install a device or run a line when everything goes perfectly. But true mastery of the electrical trade is knowing the why behind the how.

Instructing the Brothers and Sisters coming up behind you isn't just about giving directions—it’s the ultimate measure of your own knowledge. When you take the time to demonstrate how to perform work in a true journeyman-like manner, you prove your status as a master of the craft.

True professionals don't stay silent on the job. They lead by example, show up with intent, and ensure our traditions of excellence stay unbroken.

Challenge your apprentices. Elevate your crew.

Yesterday, business managers from IBEW construction locals across the Commonwealth met with Andy Beshear to discuss the continued growth of Kentucky’s electrical industry and the challenges facing working families across our state.

The conversation focused on creating opportunities through good union careers, expanding workforce development and apprenticeship programs, and ensuring Kentucky’s growth continues to benefit the people who live and work here.

IBEW locals remain committed to building a stronger future for our communities while advocating for the men and women who power Kentucky every day.

Workers deserve the benefits they voted for — not endless delays at the bargaining table.

The Faster Labor Contracts Act would help ensure newly organized workers can secure a first contract in a timely manner by requiring negotiations to begin quickly and providing mediation and arbitration when talks stall.

This bipartisan legislation is about protecting collective bargaining rights, strengthening unions, and holding employers accountable to negotiate in good faith.

Take a moment to stand with working people and contact your U.S. Representative in support of the Faster Labor Contracts Act.
