After 23 years of unwavering dedication to the Portsmouth Area Chamber of Commerce, Donna Arnett is stepping into a well-deserved retirement. During her tenure as Executive Assistant, Donna has supported our organization by managing daily office tasks and assisting our members with their needs.

For more than two decades, Donna has been a helpful first contact for our members, handling membership inquiries, event assistance, and administrative responsibilities. Her attention to detail and helpful manner have made her a valued part of the Chamber. She's worked behind the scenes to keep our office operations running smoothly and our members well served. She didn't just process paperwork—she built relationships.

The Portsmouth Area Chamber of Commerce wouldn't be the thriving organization it is today without Donna's faithful service. Her contributions to our membership, our events, and our community are deeply appreciated and will be missed.

We wish Donna all the best as she begins this exciting new chapter. She's earned every moment of relaxation and joy that retirement brings.

We're halfway through 2026, and we wanted to take a moment to check in with you all. It's been a great first half of the year – our events have been well attended, we're seeing strong engagement across our programs, and the energy in our business community has been fantastic.

But here's the thing: we want to make sure we're delivering what you actually need. So we're checking in to ask a few simple questions.

Are you getting value from your membership? Whether it's through networking at Business After Hours, connecting with other business owners, staying informed at Portsmouth TODAY, or accessing our resources and insurance programs – we want to know what's working for you and what isn't.

Are you attending our events? In addition to Business After Hours, we have safety council meetings, leadership development opportunities, and educational seminars happening throughout the year. If you haven't made it to anything yet, this is your gentle nudge to grab a spot at our next gathering. Some of our best member connections happen in person.

What do you need from us moving forward? If there's a topic you'd like us to cover, a type of networking event that would help your business, or a resource we should be highlighting – let us know. We're here to support your success.

Reach out to us – call 740-353-7647 or email [email protected]. We'd love to hear what's happening in your business and how the Chamber can better support you in the second half of the year.

Congratulations to Robin McIntire on her well-deserved retirement from Shawnee State Lodge!

Robin's leadership and genuine care have made the lodge a true gem in our community for years. She didn't just manage a business—she created a home away from home for guests and neighbors, and built a workplace where her team thrived.
