July 27th:
Thank you all so much for the love, support, kind words and donations to help Erica get home! ā¤ļø We hit a HUGE milestone with Ericaās campaign and I just wanted to share the updates with you all ! We are almost at $500 in just 11 days! This will cover ALL the gas needed for one trip!! This move will be a two trip move but knowing at least one trip is covered (gas wise) it has given Erica and her spouse a HUGE relief! I did update the GoFundMe page with our current situation and plans! Things are now in the works! WSB-TV said they would call me back for more information to help give this campaign some more views before Ericaās deadline to move out comes! Thank you all so much for your support! IN JUST THREE DAYS, enough money was raised for either; 2 tanks of gas or the insurance and tax fees for the U-Haul! This is a HUGE milestone for Erica and her family as she didnāt think the GoFundMe would go anywhere and she would need to give her stuff away and leave Virginia without her belongings. I want to thank you all for the shares and support as they ARE WORKINGšš» We are going to bring Erica and her family home to ga together! Good morning everyone! Iām so sorry. I have not been posting and Iāve been very quiet lately, my health has been declining and I have been dealing with the loss of my service dog/best friend of 10 years. Now we are facing trying to move home, putting more weight on my shoulders. Thank you all so much for the sharesā¤ļø
A question I get asked a lot-
How come I stopped Arieshaswings?
What a lot of people didnāt know and I was not allowed to post it on social media at the time, but I do not care as Iām moving now: the city that I live in in Virginia and surrounding cities have made it illegal to help the homeless now. You are threatened with jail time, tickets, or liens if you are caught feeding the homeless, āencouragingā panhandling, or interacting in anyway that would encourage them to ābegā and those words are straight from the city of Portsmouth . There are signs everywhere now, and the signs are conveniently placed everywhere that we used to give our bags away. After my first ticket, I stopped. I havenāt really left my house since I stopped running Arieshaswings, it made me really upset and really depressed that this world is so upside down and backwards. I gave anything that would expire to the church and the church did a massive homeless event with all of the areas has wings perishablesā¤ļøļæ¼ļæ¼
