We would like to Thank AES Cancer Foundation, for the financial assistance that was given to our Family. The nowhere to turn during the most difficult time was very hard and stressful while my husband was going through his Autologous Transplant Procedure (Stem Cell Transplant). The difficulty of my husband not being able to work while going through the treatment caused a delay in our finances. The help of our Clinical Social Worker Katie Blood Cancer Center and AES was the biggest relief that lifted a big burden off my shoulder. It allowed me to more attentive while supporting and caring my husband during his recovery.
We Thank God for Your Foundation & Wishing Continuous Success!!

Sincerely,

Alana & James Ridenhour

This is why we do what we do.
When a family is facing blood cancer, the stress goes far beyond the treatment itself. Many families are also trying to keep up with bills, work interruptions, travel, and everyday expenses during one of the hardest times of their lives.
We are so thankful that AES Cancer Foundation was able to help lift even a small part of that burden for this family while James was going through his stem cell transplant.
Messages like this remind us why every donation, every fundraiser, every sponsor, and every volunteer matters.
From the bottom of our hearts — thank you to everyone who helps make this possible. Together, we are helping blood cancer patients and their families when they need it most. ❤️

We want to give a very special thank you to Ava Bourne for hosting Tight Lines for Tiny Fighters, a fishing tournament to raise money for A E S Cancer Foundation.

Yesterday’s tournament raised over $4,000 to help us continue providing financial assistance to cancer patients and their families. This is the second time Ava has put her heart into this event for our foundation, and we are truly grateful.

Ava, your kindness, hard work, and giving spirit are making a real difference. Thank you to everyone who fished, donated, sponsored, volunteered, and supported this wonderful event.

From all of us at A E S Cancer Foundation — thank you from the bottom of our hearts. 🎣💙

Nine years ago today was the day Angela was diagnosed with leukemia.

We will never forget her strength, her smile, and the way she carried herself through such a difficult journey. We will also never forget the love and devotion Tripp showed, staying faithfully by her side until her last breath.

Their journey together continues to inspire. It is a reminder that love leaves a legacy, and Angela’s legacy is still alive in the lives she touched and in the path Tripp now walks as a firefighter and future paramedic.

We remember her today with love, pride, and thankful hearts

We recently received this message from a patient we’ve been honored to help through the A E S Cancer Foundation.

I had to share a story with you and your wife. Yesterday, I was allowed to return to my Airbnb from Duke discharge

My sweet daughter Holly Elizabeth went to retrieve my car parked in medical tower while my nurse took her own busy time instead of waiting on transport, to roll me the Medical Pavillion to meet.

My nurse of course had been so wonderful to me and I started telling her about a young lady who had the same leukemia as me but a year or so after. Same doctor, same treatment, though I never got to meet her, her husband and I Texted every now and then. I told my nurse I felt drawn to her and worried about her, especially when she relapsed and had to have the SCT. I was leading up to the wonderful AES foundation and how just recently I have benefited greatly with the generosity

of the foundation.

The nurse started asking a few more questions and finally said, that has to be Angela Seed married to Tripp Seed. I said yes of course. She said Angela made such an impression on her and so many other nurses, they still remember her vividly. She told me how sweet she was and always pleasant and kind. She absolutely remembered her very well. The nurse’s name was Kelli, tall with dark hair. And she was one of my favorites this round. And she talked along remembering sequences of events Angela went through and how she was always so brave. Angela’s presence is still palpable in those nursing units. As many patients as they do see, they remember her vividly. That was a great honor to your daughter, to be remembered in such a lovely way.

I now am being prepared for a SCT May 8. I am very worried about going through this. I am not young. And I’m just recovering from CAR-T therapy which has left me so weakened. I had extended side-effects which caused hospitalization. And now heading directly into another “storm” that I’ve been informed as the roughest of all. No recovery time. I just hope I can go back to Chowan County a few days before this upcoming three -four month ordeal.

Thank you again for your graciousness in assisting me navigate through this intense situation. I would appreciate prayers very much. Melody White

We are incredibly grateful for the amazing friends Angela had, like Acara Miller.
Acara and Angela were very close, and seeing Acara honor Angela’s memory by hosting this beautiful Epsom Salt Jar DIY fundraiser truly means so much to our family.
Through events like this, she is helping support the work of the AES Cancer Foundation, which continues Angela’s mission of helping families facing blood-related illnesses with financial support during some of their most difficult times.
Acara, thank you for your kindness, generosity, and for helping keep Angela’s spirit of caring for others alive.
If you’re in the Virginia Beach area, we hope you’ll consider stopping by and supporting this wonderful event.
💛 Angela’s kindness continues to live on through friends like Acara.
