You are invited to join us for Honeybee & Pollinator Day at the Farmers Market from 9am to 1pm on Saturday, June 13, at the Roy Rogers Esplanade on Chillicothe Street in Downtown Portsmouth!

Honeybee & Pollinator Day at the MSPIB Farmers Market features the Rocky Acres Family Farm's fully contained observation hive filled with live honeybees.

Come discover the secret life of honeybees while they create their honeycomb, make honey, and care for their young!

All the honeybees will be locked in their hive for the event.

Educational material about additional pollinators, like butterflies, will be provided courtesy of Copies Galore.

Honeybee & Pollinator Day at the MSPIB Farmers Market is sponsored by Rocky Acres Family Farm in West Portsmouth and Copies Galore, located at 709 Fourth Street in Portsmouth.

Honeybee & Pollinator Day is an America 250 Celebration event complementing Ohio's theme for June, "Ohio Outdoors: Exploring Ohio's Natural Resources."

The 17th Season of the MSPIB Farmers Market is sponsored by our Scioto County Commissioners.

Our Riverfront Picnic Project fundraising is making great progress this year!

Thanks grants from the Peoples Bank Foundation, the Scioto Foundation, and Portsmouth Area Ladies, we have raised $22,500 toward our goal of $80,000. Gifts from Private Donors have also contributed $2,600 to date.

This money will be used to enhance the newly renovated Portsmouth Riverfront with durable Memorial Benches, Picnic Tables, and Trash Cans that match our Downtown streetscape.

Each piece of site furniture will include a Memorial Plaque which may be dedicated to a loved one or recognize the donor.

Join the effort and leave a legacy on the Ohio River by sponsoring a Memorial Picnic Table for the Portsmouth Riverfront today!

To Sponsor a Memorial Picnic Table, Bench, or Trash Can, or to make a Donation toward the Riverfront Picnic Project with cash or check, please call 740-464-0203 or email [email protected]
