DRAG had a great day pulling some trash out of North Mill pond. Here's a peek at some of the bottles we removed, in addition to some plastic pieces and even a Slim Jim wrapper! Interesting finds included an old Welch's bottle, a very cool medicine bottle with the cork still attached, and an old cream jug. Once they've been cleaned, we might be better able to research their provenance!

DRAG is proud to announce that we have made our first donation EVER to the Boston & Maine Railroad Historical Society! Last year, one of our divers found a padlock from the railroad while diving under the Sarah Long Bridge, near Kittery, ME.

The lock is believed to be created by William Bohannon, a lock maker in the 1880s. The back is inscribed with the name of the B&M Rail Road. It is very likely that this lock stayed at the bottom of the Piscataqua for over 100 years!

The lock should be available for viewing in Lowell in the near future. When we have more details, we will let you know!
