A big heart can make a big difference, no matter your age. ❤️

Joshua Ray Tackett spent a long time saving his coins and bills, but instead of spending that money on something for himself, he decided he wanted to use it to help sick kids. Joshua generously donated his savings to the SOMC Development Foundation Pediatric Fund, where his gift will help provide care and resources for children in our community.

To make the moment even more special, Joshua was able to present his donation alongside his own physician, Dr. TJ Stidham.

We are so grateful for Joshua’s kindness and generosity. His thoughtful gift is a wonderful reminder that you are never too young to make a difference in the lives of others.

We are proud to recognize Adrian Winters, a member of the SOMC Housekeeping team and recipient of the Jim & Clara Donaldson Scholarship. Adrian is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Microbiology, as well as an Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology. Adrian's dedication to lifelong learning while serving as an SOMC employee is a wonderful example of the commitment and ambition this scholarship was created to support.

The Jim & Clara Donaldson Scholarship Fund was established to provide financial assistance to an SOMC employee who wishes to further their education in the medical field. Through this scholarship, the Donaldson family is helping employees take the next step in their education and build careers that can make a lasting difference in the lives of our patients and community.
