“Small acts, when multiplied by millions of people, can transform the world." - Howard Zinn
On Friday, October 31, 2025, local community organizations, churches, and businesses—to include the Joe Lee Hansley Foundation, Coach Cornelia A. Jackson Foundation, Empact Church, Jeff Davis Youth Center, Hazlehurst Community League, Councilman Christopher M. Jones and King Brothers’ Funeral Home—teamed up to support Jeff Davis Public Schools. Led by Miss Kaleah Hamilton and fellow Jeff Davis High School students Mr. Mark Durden, Mr. Jaylen Gamble, Mr. Kobe Hill, and Mr. Adrien Allen (grades 10–12), the group collected over 100 coats for young people in need, demonstrating student-driven leadership in addressing community challenges.
Under Miss Kaleah's inspiring leadership, her team went above and beyond by collecting monetary donations to support those in need. Together, these five remarkable students devoted over 100 volunteer hours, demonstrating compassion, teamwork, and a deep commitment to service. Through their dedication, they created a lasting impact and truly embodied the spirit of youth leadership within Jeff Davis community.
