Still here… We’ve been a little quiet over here.

Just been lying low.

Anyways wanna talk about Lampreys?

We’re back with more Pacific Lampreys, more people doing the work, more stories from across their range, and probably a few things you didn’t know about this cool fish.

Anyway… did you miss us?

On a serious note… We’re trying to get more people to know this fish beyond the “scary” mouth. Let’s defeat this fear together.

Pacific lampreys are an ancient native species with deep importance to communities around the world, and they play an important role in our rivers and ecosystems. After generations of declines, keeping them on the landscape takes all of us.💜

That’s what the Pacific Lamprey Conservation Initiative is about: bringing Tribes, agencies, researchers, communities, and people who care together to learn from one another, support lamprey conservation, and make sure these fish still have rivers to return to for generations to come.

You don’t have to think they’re cute, but you might leave here loving them a little extra.🤍
