Hundreds of union members came together across four hospitals on their breaks to grab lunch, swap swag, and talk about issues that matter!

✨Bargaining Session 12✨

🗣️ Our cross-union efforts are making a difference! Joining forces with SEIU Local 49 Legacy RNs of ONA & OFNHP is creating movement at the table! We will do the to demonstrate our solidarity to get strong contracts at the table!

🗣️ We are staying firm on key issues like work/life balance! We want safe workplaces and reduced burnout!

🗣️ Legacy leadership has yet to counter on our economic proposal such as wages, benefits, and premiums.

🗣️ Our Solidarity Break was a huge success! Hundreds of staff across sites grabbed food, picked up swag, and talked about the issues that matter across unions!

1) We received two proposals from Legacy leadership that demonstrates good movement towards a mutual agreement. Our collective action with the cross-union sticker up is moving the needle! ➡️➡️➡️

2) We are standing firm on issues surrounding on work-life balance, prioritizing safe patient care, and recruiting and retaining staff! 💯

3) We are showing up UNITED and collaborating with unions across the system ✊ Come to the Solidarity Break tomorrow, Wednesday 8/12, on your lunch to connect with other members and get some free food!🍕🍕🍕

What a powerful show of solidarity! ✊

AFSCME, ONA, SEIU, and OFNHP members came together to send one united message: the folks supporting and providing patient care every day deserve safe workplaces, fair contracts, competitive wages, and a real voice in the decisions that affect us and our patients.

From clinics to hospital units, workers showed up, demonstrating that our strength comes from standing together.

This action was more than wearing a sticker, it was a visible reminder that frontline staff know what our workplaces need because we’re the ones delivering the care every single day.

Together, we’re showing Legacy that when UNION VOICES STAND UNITED, our collective voice cannot be ignored. 💚💜❤️💛💚

Bargaining Session 11 Update 💚

➡️ We have officially proposed a whole contract!

➡️ We have brought 10 counter proposals to the table!

➡️ Legacy leadership countered on our Leaves of Absence article by cutting out leaves for bereavement, pregnancy, and trauma. We know these leaves need to be protected and improved!

➡️ We are back at the table 8/1/26!

Bargaining Session 11 brought to you by Joseph (he/him) Social Worker @ Emanuel! 1️⃣1️⃣

1) We have a full contract on the table! Now it’s up to leadership to bring counters that will bring us to an agreement. 🎉🎉🎉

2) Leadership declined to hear our presentation on Compensation, AI, and Chaplain support. They declined to hear the rest of our Safety counter. 🙃

3) Leadership brought us two counter proposals, completely cutting out language on Bereavement Leave, Pregnancy Loss Leave, and Trauma Leave. 🫠

Thank you Aynsley (she/her) PT OP GS and Tonya (she/her) PT Acute Emanuel for the key 🔑 takeaways!

We came prepared with 1 counter article on Safety, and 3 new articles: Compensation, AI, and Chaplain supports. 🤖

We were ready to advocate for our pay, a top priority of our union!

Legacy leadership ‘walked out’. They signed off the meeting early, and did not return. 🚩

We are back at the table Tuesday July 21! 💪

Bargaining Session 10 Update 🚩

On Tuesday, July 14, we came prepared to counter on our Safety article. We presented AGAIN why SAFETY MATTERS. We shared YOUR stories of fear, pain, humiliation, and frustration. We presented the DATA from our Safety Survey - highlighting that 82% of members find ICARE reporting and response to be inadequate at best. 🚩🚩🚩

Legacy, you continue to demonstrate a pattern of not listening. The irony of logging off during our presentation is not lost on us. 🤔

We were also prepared to present on Compensation, AI, and Chaplain protections. 🗂️

Compensation is a top priority for our members. We did not have the opportunity this past Tuesday to advocate for our pay. We will be bringing our proposal presentation to the leadership team again this upcoming Tuesday. ⏩️⏩️⏩️
