The Salvation Army Gresham Corps

08/30/2026

Today at The Salvation Army Gresham Corps, Sunday service moved outside as we welcomed guests and gathered with our community for worship, fellowship, and a powerful message of hope.

Our children heard a special message about the greatest “superhero” of all—Jesus, our Savior—and the strength, love, protection, and hope He offers each of us.

“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever.” — Psalm 136:1

And the day didn’t stop with worship. After service, families were invited to stay for a community celebration with free backpacks for those in need, a bounce house, cotton candy, shaved ice, nachos, and plenty of time together.

This is what faith in action looks like: sharing God’s love, meeting our neighbors where they are, and creating a place where families feel welcomed, supported, and connected.
