Nov 17 & 18, 2018 at University of Portland Hotel: Connecting Horror Fans with the Causes that Matter Most
Horror Heals was developed by Living Dead Girls/Magazine & Con creator Deanna Uutela (aka Deanna Deadly), as a solution to her desire to not only bring more horror to Portland, but to also step up her activism by giving back on a larger level to the nonprofits/causes that desperately need it in the NW.
Horror Heals Convention is a two-day charity event making its debut November 17 & 18th, 2018 at The University of Portland Hotel. Every year we will be giving to and spotlighting a different cause and different guests, with this first year going towards Domestic & Sexual Abuse. The two-days will incorporate film screenings, celebrity signings, diy horror workshops, vhs swap, panels, entertainment, a huge horror themed raffle & much more. It’s a huge party for a cause!
And unlike many conventions that have to charge a high amount for tickets and vending due to the high cost of the venue and celebrity fees, we are doing everything we can to keep our overhead costs low without scrimping on the people you want to meet and as a result charge less for both tickets and vending booths--that means more of you can attend and spend money on what matters most, the cause, instead of just a ticket to get in.
We are currently working on updating our website and logo and once that is up we will start revealing more as it develops. Thank you for your patience and support!
