NW Council for Consent Culture The NWCCC has been formed to support organizations that host group safer touch, dance, and/or sensual/s*xual spaces in the Pacific Northwest.

The NWCCC has been formed to support organizations that host group safer touch and/or sensual/s*xual spaces in the Pacific Northwest. Established Feb. 17th, 2015 by a small steering committee, the group is has completed the study and it is published as "The Clearing of Consent". The steering committee consisted of Kristen Reynolds, Colleen Donaldson, Megan Lilah Martin, and Katessa Harkey. This bo

ard operated on limited consensus; where consensus fails, simple majority democracy ruled. Reviewers from the community were solicited representing the diversity of the community. We recognize that these activities are carried out in a variety of cultural contexts; and that many members both organizing and attending are often shared between some or all of these contexts. Sometimes, s*x and relationship educators in different communities use the same words in very different ways. This results in a variety of miscommunications and unintentional missteps. The best way you can help at this time is by reading the study and reviewing it. Share with others interested in consent issues and building better consensus around terminology and expectations. Also, feel free to share on our page about classes and workshops that focus on relational communication, healthy touch, support groups, artistic events and other aspects of consent culture community.
