UPDATE - It's a girl cat, probably in heat, and looking for "a date!" Friendly, can be pet, picked up. etc. She is still stressed, not eating well, and sleeping lots!

She was very still, we thought he might be injured, but when we went to try and put our hands on "him", he scampered quite well up and down the fenceline. Thanks to Deborah Heckhausen for reporting him and getting her hands on him. Call Pam if you know this cat - no collar, small to medium frame, short hair.

BORN AND.RAISED ON HAYDEN ISLAND
It has been a tough 2026 for my cat family! Three months - three cats passed away! I knew this was to happen as I had "old" cats and have been running a "hospice-type" operation here! Beatrice (17 years old) passed in January. My Max (also 17 years old) passed in February. Today my Momo (18 years old), my best friend, passed in my arms this afternoon. Thank you to my incredible support team that has given medicine, given fluids, washed them, sang to them, pet them, cleaned up after them and even read to them! They were truly loved. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

We have a beautiful new neighbor! He's been here a couple weeks. Unfortunately, he seems hungry and lonely. Might he belong to anyone near Menzies Drive? He's here every day and has befriended our Shasta. If he's your baby, he needs to be indoors for a spell so he can bond to you, and he needs to be fixed so he isn't as interested in marking. He's been spraying our deck daily and our kitties don't know that behavior yet (I'm afraid they'll catch on). We're happy to have him visit though! PM me if you need advice. We call him Avalon for now.

If he's not claimed we'll consider two options: Deem him feral with TNR protocols, or send him to Oregon Humane Society for proper vet care and adoption. Obviously we'll choose the one that fits his needs best.

NEW CAT IN NEIGHBORHOOD?
A new beautiful black cat on North Broughton Drive in the Hayden Island Manufactured Home Community wandering around! Full tail, all black with flea collars! Does "she" belong to anyone here? Is "she" fixed? Please let the Hayden Island Kitty Committee know. Call Pam at 503-265-9479. Thank you!
