What a beautiful evening.

Last Saturday's Neighborhood of Possibility fundraiser was filled with connection, generosity, laughter, and a shared belief in what community can create together. Thanks to everyone who attended, entered a raffle, raised a paddle, bid in the auction, and funded the fun, we raised more than $35,000 in a single night, bringing us all the way to our $100,000 summer fundraising goal.

And the magic keeps growing. Our online auction has already raised nearly $10,000 more, with almost six days still to go.

Because of you, an entire summer of community-supported recreation, creativity, play, and connection for all ages is possible.

Thank you for believing in this work and in one another.

Next up: The Shack Opening Celebration on Saturday, June 13, from 10am-5pm, in collaboration with the wonderful, community-powered Everything Under the Sun Parade at 2pm. We can't wait to celebrate with you.

BIG Announcement!!!

We’re proud to partner with the City of Portland and Portland Parks & Recreation to bring Laurelhurst Studio back to life through a long-term public–private partnership—restoring this beloved space without new City capital investment, and returning it to community use, where it belongs.

Sellwood Community House will lead restoration, programming, and stewardship, building on years of work creating accessible, intergenerational hubs for arts, play, and connection— this time in Laurelhurst Park.

What’s ahead: dance, fitness, arts education, community gatherings and culturally responsive programming shaped in partnership with the community and neighborhood.

This is what it looks like when we invest in shared spaces, together.

Join us this Friday evening for a sweet family friendly book launch!! Local friends Alice-Kate Lamb and Benjamin Wright wrote and illustrated a book, and were thrilled to host the official launch and book signing!

March Fourth honors the spirit of quiet and persistent perseverance through the act of a forest stroll, dappled with hints of spring, while the season shifts. A pair of travelers take a trek to pause, reflect and softly celebrate as they make their way on a winter-y spring-y walk in the woods.

THIS Friday, February 27th from 6:15-7:30pm- FREE!

Come. Listen. Play. & Connect.
