💡 ESD Myth vs. Fact

❌ MYTH: The City should already be doing this
✅ FACT: The ESD supplements city services providing a higher and “enhanced” level of consistency and responsiveness.

An ESD helps communities go beyond baseline services by investing in neighborhood priorities identified by local stakeholders, for local stakeholders.

💡 ESD Myth vs. Fact
We’ve heard this concern from community members, so let’s talk about it:

❌ MYTH: I’ll pay more but see no difference
✅ FACT: ESDs fund visible, consistent services like cleaning, safety, and business support—things people notice every day.

The goal of the Parkrose ESD is to create a cleaner, safer, and more vibrant district with services that directly support local businesses, property owners, and the community.
