The proceeds we make from reselling the donations go to covering the cost of our operations, to promoting environmental awareness and to charitable donations around the globe. With our many partners in the US and around the world we have been sponsoring well digging operations in Africa for communities with no access to water; we have been contributing to land clean up projects for long term susta

inability in India, Brazil, Kenya and many more. The UN estimates it would take $1 US dollar to provide someone in India with clean access to water for 1 year! As the Gaia Movement is still a rather small organization with a small budget, we find that oversees investment can produce the greatest yield for environmental projects. It is important for us all to realize that trees planted in Africa are not just for Africans, it is for the whole world. When small countries and villages begin to have access to their own source of water and eco-friendly agriculture techniques, it is a benefit to us all, no matter where we live.
