Cascadia Gaia Movement The Gaia Movement aims to divert clothing, shoes and miscellaneous items from our landfills and back into use or to be recycled. www.gaia-movement-usa.org

The proceeds we make from reselling the donations go to covering the cost of our operations, to promoting environmental awareness and to charitable donations around the globe. With our many partners in the US and around the world we have been sponsoring well digging operations in Africa for communities with no access to water; we have been contributing to land clean up projects for long term sustainability in India, Brazil, Kenya and many more. The UN estimates it would take $1 US dollar to provide someone in India with clean access to water for 1 year! As the Gaia Movement is still a rather small organization with a small budget, we find that oversees investment can produce the greatest yield for environmental projects. It is important for us all to realize that trees planted in Africa are not just for Africans, it is for the whole world. When small countries and villages begin to have access to their own source of water and eco-friendly agriculture techniques, it is a benefit to us all, no matter where we live.

hi everyone, Im sorry to report, quite delayed I might add, that the Gaia Movement in Oregon and Washington has been sold to EcoWorld, another clothing collection company. This happend almost 3 years ago now. I have barely used FB in this time and have tried to respond to messages about bins but have not been able to keep up. Ideally, Ecoworld would have put their own stickers up with a new phone number for you to reach them but I know this is not always the case. I do not have a number for them but hopefully they will be easy to look up. Best of luck to everyone and take care of yourselves.
