Since 2011, sensitive locations such as schools, hospitals, and places of worship have been off-limits to most immigration enforcement activities. That federal policy was revoked in 2025 and now, families across Maine -- regardless of their immigration status -- are afraid to take their kids to school or go to the doctor.

LD 2106 would restore these protections by:

✓ Requiring ICE to get a judge-signed warrant before enforcement at schools, hospitals, daycares, and libraries
✓ Protecting personal information at these locations
✓ Giving clear guidance to teachers and healthcare workers so they're not forced into impossible situations

Please consider testifying on LD 2106. This bill is about public health and safety for everyone. FMI on how to testify in the Legislature: mainesenate.org/testify

To read the full bill, visit legislature.maine.gov and enter "2106" in the search box.

So please inbox me or also Pebble Street this storm coming this way this Sunday is not going to be nice and a lot of people are probably going to have problems unfortunately I hope the one I sent her is able to be open and that everybody will be okay God bless all and thank you

Keeping vulnerable people safe is core to the Preble Street mission. And right now, many of our community members, rightfully so, do not feel safe. Increased presence of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, as part of the dehumanizingly named ‘Operation Catch of the Day,’ is creatin...
