CymaSpace We make arts, culture & hospitality services inclusive for the Deaf & Disability community

CymaSpace is a nonprofit Deaf-focused technology hub in Portland, Oregon. The CymaSpace mission is to make arts and cultural events accessible and inclusive to the DHH and allied hearing community through Technology, Education and Outreach. CymaSpace is a pioneer in the development of projects influenced by cymatic technology (translating sound waves into visual and tactile phenomena) and presenti

ng these works in live performances, artistic installations and workshops. CymaSpace advocates for the DHH community to partnering art organizations. We raise awareness, offer consultation and provide services to help other nonprofits provide access to the disabled. We believe that when artists involve cymatics in their work, they create an environment of equity by addressing the needs of DHH people. They address diversity because Deafness overlaps with many other culture groups. And they enhance inclusion because both DHH and hearing attendees and artists are involved.

Happy Star Wars Day ✨

May the Force be with you, Oregon Deaf Community.

Today we celebrate connection, community, and the power we hold together. Just like the Force, our strength comes from unity, shared language, and collective resilience.
