Middlesex Amateur Radio Society

Middlesex Amateur Radio Society Founded 1947; Middlesex Amateur Radio Society is a Amateur radio club located in Central CT that supports local events and Local ARES emergency operations.

We are the Middlesex Amateur Radio society. We provide a public service fore events like the Epilepsy Foundation's Mud Volleyball, MS Bike Marathon, the Portland Fair. We promote the advancement of radio with our presentations every month, technical advice, licensing test sessions, and encouragement via the "elmering" process. We are an American Radio League (ARRL) affiliated club, as well as Amat

eur Radio Emergency Services (ARES) members. Our neetibg place is still closed due to COVID-19. We will start having in person meetings again when the Portland Senior Center reopens. In thr mean time, we hold birtual meetings on Zoom every Tuesday at 7:00 pm. Email [email protected] to get the meeting link. We still hold VE sessions (licensing tests) on the first Monday at 6:30 PM at the Portland Fire Station No. 2. Send an email to [email protected] for more information.

One of the things that need to be improved here is the interaction. Some things would be John's antenna project. Discussion of the Mud Volletball tournament just to mention a couple of things off the top of my head. It doesn't have to be club specific, either. Are you chasing DX? Tell us about it. May be you can even show us your station.
