Clay Street Table

Clay Street Table Feeding those who are hungry in body and spirit. We serve Tuesday lunch and Saturday breakfast to anyone who is hungry.

In partnership with Operation Nightwatch, also located in the parish building, we provide food five evenings a week through an evening hospitality center and dinners for groups that gather on Tuesdays and Sundays. In total, approximately 1,400 prepared meals are served through these programs each month. Most recently, we have expanded our service by partnering with HomePdx to provide Sunday lunch

to over 100 from the community and with The Underground to provide Wednesday dinner to nearly as many teens experiencing homelessness. Every 4th Thursday, our free “shopping style” food pantry nearly a week of groceries to those whose income or food stamps have run out before the end of the month. In October, the pantry provided 273 households, representing 360 people, enough groceries to prepare over 4,000 meals on their own. Our Wednesday night “Cooks’ Supper” cooking class uses ingredients found at the pantry. Participants prepare a meal together in the parish kitchen, eat together in the parish hall, and take leftovers home to reheat for a second meal.
