Case of the Whistlers – Murfreesboro, TN

Last night we returned to one of our long-standing private locations—internally known as The Case of the Whistlers.

This wasn’t a big team night.
Just three of us. Split up. Quiet. Intentional.

And honestly? Those are the nights that tell you the most.

We ran a controlled setup across three areas of the building while staying in constant communication.

Let’s start where we always do:

🧠 Debunking

This location is mechanically noisy.

We were able to identify:

Duct pops
Air pressure releases
Equipment cycling
The infamous “too-loud-for-its-own-good” fridge

A good portion of what people hear here can absolutely be explained.

And that matters.

Now… here’s where it didn’t all line up.

⚡ Multiple investigators experienced intensity at the same time… in different locations

Not after the fact.
Not influenced by each other.
Real-time.

That’s the kind of detail we pay attention to.

🗣️ Unexplained reports included:

A young voice saying “stop”
A male voice: “I need $50”
Short bursts of sound near the back of the building—too brief to clearly identify

Not everyone heard everything.

Which, in our world, makes it more interesting—not less.

😬 The hallway/back area remains active

Heavy, pressure-like feeling
Sudden anxiety spike
Strong sense of “not welcome here”

That area continues to stand out.

🌳 And then there’s the tree line behind the building…

All three of us independently keyed in on it.

Not ominous.
Not threatening.

Just…

“We’ve seen things.”

Given the location’s proximity to early movement areas of the Battle of Stones River, that observation carries weight—but we document, not assume.

⚡ One pattern held all night:

Every hotspot inside the building was tied to:

Equipment
Power
Energy sources

Which raises the question:

Is the building amplifying something…
or just making it easier to notice?

🖤 Bottom line:

We debunked a lot.

But not everything.

And what remains:

Has pattern
Has location
And shows up just enough to keep us coming back

We don’t chase ghosts.
We document, we test, and we question everything.

And this one?

Isn’t done talking yet.
