NOA and ECC's monthly movie gathering, Rainbow Reels, usually takes place on the last Sunday of each month but, instead of meeting on 5/31, we will be joining Pink Haven and the ECC just a week later on Saturday, June 6th for a free screening of Heightened Scrutiny!

🗓 Saturday, June 6
🕓 Screening at 4pm
📍 Equality Community Center
💬 Community conversation to follow
🍿 Snacks & beverages available

This urgent documentary follows ACLU attorney Chase Strangio - the first openly trans person to argue before the Supreme Court - as he challenges Tennessee’s ban on gender-affirming care for trans youth.

🎟 Seat reservations strongly encouraged - reserve your spot online at https://eccmaine.org/film

💖 Donations encouraged to support Pink Haven’s mutual aid efforts helping trans and non-binary people relocating to Maine for safety and support.

"Hope will never be silent."

Today we honor Harvey Milk, a trailblazer for our community who was taken far before his time. Harvey shattered closet doors wherever he went, rallying LGBTQ+ people everywhere to be proud, demand to be counted, and fight for our rights with love and resilience. Thank you for everything, Harvey.

Every day, ILAP is responding to immigration arrests in Maine. Maine residents are facing inhumane conditions in detention centers, are at risk of life-threatening deportation, families are torn apart, and Maine’s communities are losing beloved members and essential workers. So many have withdrawn from public life, are afraid to send children to school, to go to work, seek medical care, practice their religion, and move freely.

Join ILAP in calling on Maine’s Members of Congress to vote NO on any additional funding for unchecked immigration enforcement.
