Message from the principal

Good afternoon! I am the incoming principal of Rosa Parks Elementary. One of my initiatives is to revitalize community involvement, which is proven to influence student growth. Stay tuned, as I will be posting many opportunities over time.

If volunteerism and community service is your passion and/or your paycheck, let's chat! We need you! In the meantime, here is an opportunity for us to show up for our village.

Because helping kids aim high takes priority at times, over sending unused or obsolete items to donation or dumpster, every school has some clutter corners and ashy bulletin boards! Teachers work very hard with time that gets more limited every year. They've done what they can - now let's give them a hand.

Come help me declutter, organize, dump, trim, and donate in the morning. Then, in the afternoon, take excess items for yourself, your children, or your orgs that are still good.

Do note that this is NOT a district sponsored or led event, and there is no childcare - it's simply a principal with a huge task and only two hands. Contact me at [email protected] for questions - or you can DM me here.

If you want to donate snacks and drinks, that is welcomed too! It will be a a warm day.

Thank you to all who have stepped in with me over the years to give our children the best.

~Dr. Chrysanthius Lathan
