Originally founded in southern California USM has had a goal to support underground talent across the music spectrum with a focus on bass music. Relocated and re-branded USM PDX, here in Portland we have evolved our mission to bring forth a new horizon in the world of EDM...
Rather than just another pr

oduction in the scene, USM seeks to create a sense of community by taking the politics out of music creating an open forum of creative freedom. Any artist or performer in the EDM industry can tell you how hard it is to play the game of scene politics to obtain the opportunity to perform. Some will spend years supporting this production or that production for the opportunity to share their talent with the world, only to find themselves in an endless loop pouring in their blood, sweat, and tears without having anything to show for it. We aim to change this, by providing all of our performers guaranteed pay for their time and effort, as well as sharing profits made from each event instead of generating as much income as possible without the consideration of all involved.
..because a better world is created by people enabling people.
