Victoria Day is a federal Canadian public holiday. Today we honour Queen Victoria, who is known as the "Mother of Confederation". The holiday has existed in Canada since at least 1845, originally celebrated on Victoria's natural birthday, May 24.

District 12 Zonta Action for Environment and Gender Equality Committee is hosting a presentation and discussion on Sunday, May 17 at 6:00 PM PST entitled "Climate and Violence Against Women" hosted by Liz Groothof Croddy. The next generation shouldn't have fewer rights than the last.
One day she'll be astounded to read that in the past, women didn't have equal rights in the constitution.
Let's make that future happen sooner—for her.
