This is utterly devastating, if you don't track it, you won't make progress. They're trying to hide the undoing of all we've worked for.

The EEOC has proposed to rescind EEO-1, a long-standing data collection used for 60 years to track workplace inequality.

This data is crucial for:
⚖️ the EEOC to investigate and enforce civil rights laws
💼 employers to examine their practices & ensure legal compliance
📰 increased transparency & public awareness about workplace discrimination

Without it, discrimination does not go away. It just becomes harder to identify and easier to ignore because enforcement gets weaker and accountability disappears.

U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Do not rescind the EEO-1. Keep this data collection in place!

Today is – the day we recognize the continued pay inequality that mothers face.

Moms working full-time, year-round, earn about 74¢ for every $1 that dads earn. For moms of color, this gap can be as low as 50¢.

Among other things, this can prevent many domestic violence survivors from safely leaving abusers and supporting themselves and their children.

We join Equal Pay Today, A Project of Equal Rights Advocates in raising awareness of the impact of the wage gap on mothers, including moms who have survived domestic violence. 💜

On July 19 and 20, 1848, history was made at the Seneca Falls Convention in New York, the first women's rights convention in the United States. There, 300 women and men gathered to declare a bold truth: “All men and women are created equal." The resulting Declaration of Sentiments demanded equal rights for women, including the right to vote, own property, receive an education, and participate fully in public life.

The road to equality has never been easy. Every right secured has been won through the courage, determination, and persistence of those willing to challenge injustice. As we reflect on this historic milestone, we also recognize that the work is not finished. Around the world, women and girls continue to face barriers to equality, safety, education, economic opportunity, and leadership.

Today, we honor the pioneers of Seneca Falls by continuing their fight, because equality is not just history, it is our responsibility.
