Please join us today!
On Friday the 2nd of October we want to bring in Halloween with a scream!
A gallery installation featuring the stunning work force at Rudy's Barber Shop on Division in Portland, Oregon. We cordially invite you to join us for the opening of 'Apparition' on October 2nd from 6:00 to 9:00 pm for a photography exhibition that will be on display throughout the month of October at Rudy's. Float in and enjoy your favorite persons captured at Rudy's as poltergeists, phantoms, demons and ghosts. Including live music from Nocturnal Slaughter, the video premier of Sea of Unrest from King Black Acid directed by Tony Schilling. Ten rolls of film with very few digital effects. Nacho Bar, drinks, video projection and the artwork of Geino Äotsch. 23 individual shoots. The big mystery. No one knows what anyone looks like until the night of the big reveal. Over 23 large framed pieces and a coffee table book, during the month of October, will be on display for you to enjoy and purchase as well. Part of your purchase will go to the model of your favorite print and a local charity.
Did You Know? Apparition is supported by ALARK, an organization founded by Geino and Rebekah Weikel Äotsch in 2013 to help raise money for local non-profits and community outreach programs. For this project we chose a revolutionary mentoring program that is transforming the lives of our most vulnerable children here in Portland called Friends of the Children - Portland. 10% of all monies raised at this event will go to help kids who have been in crisis learn how to do something creative and heal through imaginative outlets like photography. If you purchase a raffle ticket for 1$ you could win a complimentary cut at Rudy's. Your ticket can also be used for 15% off product or 10% off a cut. 100% of all raffle ticket sales will be donated to Friends of the Children.
