Northwest Oregon Chapter Blessings in a Backpack The Blessings in a Backpack Northwest Oregon Chapter builds on the amazing work of Take Action INC (TAI). Also part of the chapter is Alder School in Portland.

Founded over ten years ago to feed elementary-school children in the community, TAI grew to serve over 2,000 kids in 51 schools in Northwest Oregon. To support further expansion and growth, Blessings in a Backpack and TAI joined forces as of April 1, 2020, as the Blessings in a Backpack Northwest Oregon Chapter. With the help of community leaders, we are launching the chapter with an advisory boar

d and managing director to drive additional growth under a sustainable, scalable model. In doing so, we can grow from feeding 2,000 children on the weekends this past school year to 10,000 children by 2026!
