Another successful year of our Adopt-a-Family program!

Our club wrapped nearly 100 gifts tonight, ensuring several local families have a magical holiday season. This is what Rotary is all about. Thank you to our amazing members and everyone who bought presents through our Wishlist.

THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!

Through our Amazon wish list gift drive, you helped us get 52 items for a total of $693.81. We are constantly amazed at the generosity of our community and thanks to you, we have fully funded this year’s adopt a family program.

We need your help to ensure no local family is left out this Christmas!

This year, we were presented with an even bigger opportunity to serve. We have more families on our list than our initial funding supports. To make sure every single child and parent on that list feels the magic of the season, we are turning to our amazing community for backup.

Tonight we wrapped up our book club meeting for the second half of the year!

We read Walkable City by Jeff Speck and spent the evening exploring how walkability impacts community, connection, and quality of life. It sparked some great ideas for how we can support a more people-centered Portland through our Rotary projects and personal advocacy.

A wonderful night with wonderful people!

We've been busy providing community service at Project Lemonade and Transitions Projects! Some of our members just returned from an international service project installing safe cooking stoves in Guatemala, and we are planning our holiday party and wrapping gifts for our Adopt-a-Family program.

Tonight our Portland New Generations Rotary Club had the chance to support Project Lemonade by packing care packages for college-aged youth who once participated in the program. These students have worked incredibly hard to get where they are, and we loved helping send a little encouragement their way.

Our Portland New Generations Rotary Club members served a Thanksgiving meal at Transition Projects Resource Center, one of our favorite community partners supporting Portlanders experiencing homelessness. We’re grateful for the opportunity to give back and share the spirit of the season.
