The best professional communities aren't built overnight.

They grow one conversation at a time.

PHRMA's Industry Networks bring together HR professionals with shared experiences and work environments to connect, exchange ideas, and support one another through the challenges and opportunities of HR.

Choose the network that's right for you:

You know the moments we're talking about.

The employee who comes to your office upset.

The manager who wants to "just move forward."

The concern that seems straightforward at firstโ€”until it isn't.

HR professionals are often expected to have the answers, even when the path forward isn't obvious.

That's why conversations like this matter.

Join us in person on July 8 for Balancing People and Policy: How Employers Engage Employees Matters as Much as Policy and explore practical strategies for navigating employee concerns with greater confidence, clarity, and care.

Because the way we respond in these moments can influence trust, culture, and whether issues resolveโ€”or escalate.

You'll leave with:
โœ” Practical strategies you can apply immediately
โœ” New perspectives from fellow HR professionals
โœ” Greater confidence navigating difficult situations
โœ” A reminder that you don't have to figure it all out alone

Step away from the desk for 90 minutes. Enjoy lunch. Invest in one of the most important parts of HR work.

You had the best intentions.

The policy was updated. The initiative launched. The training happened.

So why didn't it have the impact you hoped for?

If you've ever walked away from a workplace initiative wondering, "Why isn't this sticking?"โ€”you're not alone.

Many HR professionals are navigating the gap between what organizations intend and what employees actually experience. And while there are rarely simple answers, there are opportunities to better understand the systems shaping those outcomes.

Join us for When Your Policies Say One Thing and Your Culture Does Another, a practical conversation designed to help HR professionals identify where policies, practices, and culture may be out of alignment.

Featuring Alexis Braly James, Founder & CEO of Construct the Present, who helps organizations build workplace systems that actually hold long after the training ends.

Together, we'll explore:

โœ” Why some efforts gain momentum while others struggle to stick
โœ” Questions to help identify where disconnects may exist
โœ” Practical ideas for strengthening alignment across the employee experience

Youโ€™ve had that conversation.

The employee concern that feels sensitive. The complaint that could escalate. The workplace issue where youโ€™re trying to balance people, policy, consistency, communication, and doing whatโ€™s right.

These moments shape trust, culture, and workplace outcomes.

Join us in person on July 8 for Balancing People and Policy: How Employers Engage Employees Matters as Much as Policy and explore practical strategies for navigating employee relations challenges with greater clarity, confidence, and care.

Because sometimes what you need isnโ€™t another article, another email, or another meeting.

Sometimes you need to step away from the desk, learn alongside peers who understand the realities of HR work, and have conversations that help you think differently about the challenges in front of you.

โœ” Practical guidance
โœ” Real-world discussion
โœ” Lunch and connection with HR peers
โœ” Ideas you can bring back to work

If difficult conversations, employee concerns, and workplace challenges are part of your world, this is worth making time for.

You update the policy. Reinforce the values. Launch the initiative.

But somewhere between intention and implementation, the employee experience tells a different story.

Maybe policies arenโ€™t being applied consistently. Maybe culture efforts struggle to stick. Maybe hiring, communication, belonging, or everyday workplace realities donโ€™t fully align with what the organization says it values.

Sound familiar?

Join us for When Your Policies Say One Thing and Your Culture Does Another โ€” a practical HR Specialty Session designed for professionals who want to go deeper than good intentions and explore what it really takes to align policy, practice, and culture.

Featuring Alexis Braly James, Founder & CEO of Construct the Present, who helps organizations build workplace culture and training systems that actually hold.

Youโ€™ll walk away with:

โœ” Practical ways to identify where disconnects may exist in your organization
โœ” A framework for diagnosing root causes, not just reacting to symptoms
โœ” Ideas for creating stronger alignment across the employee experience

Congratulations to our 2026 Volunteer of the Year, Jeffrey!

Jeffrey was selected for his dedication to supporting the next generation of HR professionals and for the meaningful impact he continues to make through his volunteer leadership.

As PHRMAโ€™s College Relations Director and PSU HRMA Advisor, Jeffrey helps create bridges between students, professionals, and our HR community โ€” opening doors for learning, mentorship, professional development, and connection. He invests his time in helping others grow, find their place in the profession, and feel welcomed into our community.

What makes Jeffreyโ€™s story especially meaningful is his belief in giving back:

"I found more value and fulfillment from being part of a community and contributing to a community that uplifts others than pursuing my own advancement."

Jeffrey shared that he is most proud when former students thrive in their careers, return to support others, and continue building the same community that supported them.

Jeffrey, thank you for your leadership, mentorship, and commitment to helping others succeed. We are honored to recognize you as our Volunteer of the Year!
