Oregon Women's Caucus for Art

Oregon Women's Caucus for Art We welcome women artists who work in any media. We value differences in age and cultural background. Membership has grown nationally to over 35 local chapters.

The National WCA is a non-profit association of professional women artists, art educators, art students and arts administrators. The national caucus was formed in 1972 as an outgrowth of the College Art Association. The Oregon chapter was formed in 1987 to reach out to women in all of Oregon and southwest Washington. National conferences are held every year in February in different cities in the United States.

Dear members,

Because of unexpected personal reasons, I will be unable to act as update person for this FB page and our twitter. Please contact me if you can act as a temporary or a perminate replacement.

Sorry for the little warning, and the small amount of explanation. If no one picks up the job by next week there will be no more updates. Sadly, this would come right around the time we need to get the word out about the speaker/award winner Miss Smith, as well as, the annual meeting of members. That if not made public would be a shame.

You do not need to be on the board but you would have to speak with them sometimes. You would have to go on FB one every two to three days to update for 15-90 minutes depending on your own ambissions.

I ask that you respect my privacy as to why this is sudden and i do pleae for your help in filling this volunteer job.

We had a good turn out for the KNOW-HOW: Women's Sexuality in Art meeting. We will have notes on our website's blog soon thanks to members chipping in to take notes and pics. Thanks Harriet and Stashia for helping with the blog!

The service for Christine R. Dentel that was at 2 p.m. today was very intelligent and beautiful, with reading from well marked up books that she often read about mainly the topic of just simply living life. Emotional and just lovely, that is what it was. There was lots of Chris's work to see.

Thank you to all who came to both events today.
