We want to provide support to our military families and veterans by inviting them to join our upcoming Military Family and Veteran Chronic Disease Self-Management Program (CDSMP) cohort starting June 2nd. The CDSMP program helps people learn how to manage health conditions like epilepsy.

One More Step Grant Program in Support of Living a Fuller Life
We are thrilled to announce that the One More Step Grant Program, from Sail For Epilepsy, is once again accepting proposals! This program is designed to empower individuals committed to living a fuller life, despite epilepsy.
🔹 What is the One More Step Grant Program?
The One More Step Grant Program provides financial support to Virtual Shipmates participating in the One More Step Challenge who may need additional funds to pursue their goals. Whether you’re learning a new skill, improving your physical or emotional health, raising awareness, educating, or supporting a family member in their goal, this grant is your chance to bring your vision to life.
🔹 Who Can Apply?
If you have signed up for the Sail For Epilepsy One More Step Challenge or are considering it, the One More Step Grant program is for you. You may not need financial support to pursue your challenge. But if you do – we’d like to help.
🔹 Grant Details:
•Funding Amount: A limited number of grants of up to $500 will be awarded based on the scope and proposed budget of the chosen challenge.
•Application Deadline: Proposals for 2026 are being accepted between April 8, 2026 and May 8, 2026. All applicants will be notified of decisions by May 15, 2026.
•How to Apply: Visit the One More Step Grant Program page at bit.ly/3NO9qAR for detailed information on proposal procedures and criteria.
This is your opportunity to take One More Step towards doing something you’ve never done before, with the necessary safety measures in place. We are excited to support innovative goals that will make a lasting difference.

Camp Discovery is July 26-29, 2026, in Rockaway Beach, OR.

Camp Discovery is an annual summer camp where children experience archery, rock climbing, hiking, swimming, arts/crafts, campfire games and much more. Families can rest assured that their loved ones will be under constant medical supervision 24 hours a day while at camp.

Thanks to our sponsors and generous donors, Camp Discovery is free of charge to all campers living with epilepsy and one sibling. Additional siblings may attend for a minimal charge of $150 per sibling. Volunteer opportunities are also available.

HERO Kids Registry is a voluntary, no-cost, secure system that lets families and young adults record critical health details that first responders and hospital emergency department providers can quickly and easily access in an emergency.
