Wondering what our latest project is all aboutโ
Our ground partner, Ezekial, from explains it best.
Right now in this community in Nicaragua, the norm has been to either burn trash or throw it on the ground because there isnโt a proper place to bring waste. Unfortunately, burning trash, especially plastics, creates toxic smoke that the community end up breathing in every day.
Thatโs why this project is so important. Together with our ground partner, weโre building a recycling and waste collection center where community members can bring their trash instead of burning it or littering.
The center is being built right next to the local primary and high school, meaning hundreds of students pass through this area daily. The goal is to reduce trash burning, keep the area cleaner, and create a healthier environment for the kids and families who live here. โป๏ธ๐
