Today, the Academy and MAND celebrates Juneteenth - a federal holiday honoring this day in 1865 when Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, to ensure that all enslaved people were to be freed.

By recognizing this important milestone in African American history, health professionals can better comprehend the intergenerational impact of slavery on health disparities and the unique health care needs of the community.

We’re currently seeking members to fill the following roles:
🔹 State Regulatory Specialist – This position monitors state regulatory changes that may impact dietetic practice. You’ll play a key role in advocating for Registered Dietitians, Dietetic Technicians, and nutrition services within Maine’s regulatory landscape.
🔹 Nutrition Services Payment Specialist – This position serves as MAND’s liaison with the Academy’s Reimbursement Team and provides valuable reimbursement-related resources to MAND members.
