Neighbors helping neighbors.
That is what community is all about.
On Tuesday, more than 2,500 cases of nonperishable food arrived in Tigard through the America Gives initiative, helping support local nonprofits and families across our region. This Tigard event was planned by the Muslim Educational Trust and LDS Church last November 2025.
Here at the Muslim Educational Trust, we were deeply privileged to host this incredible event and open our doors to such a beautiful display of unity. This effort would not have been possible without the amazing coalition, including JustServe, the City of Tigard, our dedicated volunteers, and local nonprofits, who worked hand-in-hand to unload and distribute this food.
