The Lord is near the brokenhearted;
He saves those crushed in spirit.
—Psalm 34:18

Our hearts continue to be break over the horrific events that unfolded in El Paso and Dayton this past weekend. We cannot begin to imagine the pain felt by the children, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, in-laws, friends, neighbors, and coworkers who tragically lost someone they love. Please continue to pray for these individuals & communities as they heal. As you feel led, we want to encourage you to find ways to tangibly minister to those affected.

It may be hard to believe, but the school year will be here before we know it. For some parents facing financial challenges, this can be an especially stressful time as they try to figure out how to provide school supplies for their children.

Would you consider ministering to these families by hosting a school supply drive at your Y? This can also be a powerful way to engage your members in serving your community in a tangible way. You could donate any supplies collected to your local school.

Thank you for ministering to your community. Keep up the great work!

General Assembly is in full swing!

Please continue to pray for all who have gathered at this important event. Please also pray for the mission advancement directors and chaplains there, that they would have an opportunity to minister in life-giving ways to those attending. Pray that they would represent Jesus well to all they connect with.
