On Sunday, June 28, 2026, the Portland Knights of Columbus will be hosting our semiannual collection for Pregnancy Services of Ionia County (PSIC). PSIC is a nonprofit organization that supports families in need. The Knights will be accepting donations from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Portland Bogue Flats pavilion, 482 Water Street (behind the Red Mill pavilion).

For those unfamiliar with PSIC, they provide FREE formula, diapers, wipes, clothing and other necessities to those in need – serving as Christ's light to each person who walks through their door. No judgement -- just prayer, education, and help. They also provide pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, consultations, a well-stocked baby boutique, and educational classes.

PSIC is always looking for donations to assist clients in need. Please consider picking up a few items the next time you're shopping. Toddler clothing is one of their most needed items. Clothing can be gently used. Let's keep these kids properly clothed for the upcoming summer season. Our families would be so grateful!

Our summer needs list includes: Diapers (sizes 4-6), Pullups (4T/5T, 5T/6T), Wipes, Baby food squeeze pouches, Pacifiers, Kids toothbrushes, Toothpaste, Baby eating utensils, Boys summer clothes (3mo-5T), Girls summer clothes (3mo-5T), Strollers, New toddler car seats.

NOTE: if you are unable to donate material resources, we will also be collecting monetary donations on June 28.

Many thanks for stepping up in times of need!

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at 810-588-3965. You may also visit www.psicionia.org for more information about PSIC.

This week our Council participated in the St. Patrick School Operation Rice Bowl cookout. We had the pleasure of grilling hamburgers and hotdogs for the entire school as a fundraiser coordinated by the 8th grade students. The event raised $1,665 for Catholic Relief Services to help out the less fortunate. A great example of charity!
