Every year we open up our spring grants to classroom teachers throughout the district. These have been used to fund many amazing things throughout the years to enhance classroom experiences for our students. Items are purchased during the summer and are used the following school year. Read the article to see what our 2026 grants will be funding for the 26-27 school year!

2026-27 Spring Grants Awarded Each spring, David Douglas Educational Foundation invites school district employees to submit requests for DDEF-funded Spring Grants for the following school year.  The grants are reviewed to identify if they meet grant requirements and funding availability.

Science education is extremely important and something our elementary students don't get enough of, so when we learned that due to budget constraints the OMSI science program for wasn't going to happen for the 25-26 school year - we stepped up!

We are in the final days of our No Scots Left Behind fundraiser and have currently raised $37,227! These donations will help many students stay engaged in school through various activities and sports. You can still help spread the word to get any last minute donations! Every dollar helps!

We are almost halfway to our fundraising goal with $32,540 raised! Help us reach our goal of $70,000 by the end of the month. Every donation counts!

These funds support much more than sports programs. Participating in drama, school plays, orchestra and choir also cost $85 per student for an activity fee. Help support students stay in school by staying involved! 100% of DDHS seniors participating in an activity or sports programs graduated last year!

We are making progress on our No Scots Left Behind fundraiser. We've currently raised $5,545 towards our matching funds of $15,000! We still have a long way to go to reach our goal of $70,000 and every donation counts double right now until we hit our matching fund's goal! Please help spread the word to help support DDHS students!

Thanks to a generous matching fund of $15,000, your $25 donation becomes $50, your $50 becomes $100, and so on - doubling your impact to the No Scot Left Behind campaign.  Matching funds are promised when donations reach $15,000!  That doubles the initial $15,000 in donations to $30,000!

We fulfill grant requests for many things throughout the year for needs in the district. Last year, we had received a grant request from the high school counseling office for iPads to make the registration process easier for students and families. We received a lovely thank you letter from them that we really appreciated! It's wonderful to see our funds making a difference for our students!

Our No Scots Left Behind fundraiser is in full swing! This fundraiser will help pay for sports and activities fees for David Douglas High School students. There are many activities that require fees beyond sports. This fundraiser will also support drama students and band students as well!

Every donation counts double as we work on reaching our matching funds goal of $15,000! The total goal of our fundraiser is $70,000!

The “No Scot Left Behind” program will assist students who might not be able to enroll in school activities and athletics when financial barriers prevent them from doing so. During 2026-2027, sports team participation will be $150 per sport per student with a maximum of $300 for the school year....

Scholarships for David Douglas & Fir Ridge seniors are open! There are many scholarships available and you can find information about all of them on our website! Applications are open until April 1 at 8 am.

Each year the David Douglas Educational Foundation makes available four scholarships to David Douglas graduates. These scholarships are funded by Foundation endowments.

No Scots Left Behind kicks off today! Our annual fundraiser this year will support David Douglas High School students:
-Participate in school activities
-Develop self-confidence and leadership skills
-Improve academic performance
-Stay in school and graduate!

We would greatly appreciate any support you can provide! We have matching funds up to $15,000 and need as many donations as possible to ensure we hit out goal of $70,000!
