PSAA recently caught up with skateboarder and artist Sebo Walker as he finished up his latest mural at Couch Park in Northwest Portland. Over the last couple of weeks, Sebo has been creating a perfectly patterned mural on a park shed to add a pop of color to the center of this busy neighborhood park. Final photos coming soon!

A new mural blooms beautifully from the deck of Naito Parkway in SW Portland. Named “Life in the Divide,” this massive mural features bright, blooming blossoms of peonies and California Poppies.

The mural was created and installed by local muralist Devin Finley (), who was inspired by the unique mural site. The mural has an uplifting message for the city.

“Emerging from the fracture between Naito Parkway and the back of the Rivian Service Center, this mural transforms the “crack in the concrete” into a living corridor of color and growth. Even in the harshest urban places, life still insists on finding a way through.” - Devin Finley

Thank you to Schnitzer Properties and the City of Portland for commissioning this project. Large-scale murals like these are a highly visible reminder of the incredible creative spirit in this city!

And Congratulations, Devin, on this phenomenal new addition to the Portland cityscape. It’s a lovely way to enter downtown!

See that little dot? That’s muralist Devin Finley, and he’s in a tight spot, literally!
Over the past week, Devin has been hard at work on the latest mural managed by Portland Street Art Alliance, sponsored by Schnitzer Properties and the City of Portland. If you traveled down SW Naito last week, you may have spotted him painting away!

Working from swing stage scaffolding on the back of the Rivan building on SW First Ave, Devin brought larger-than-life flowers to life across a massive 185-foot long, nearly 2,500 square foot wall.

Thank you Devin for tackling such a tricky spot and creating something truly beautiful! Final photos and more details coming soon. Stay tuned!

Last weekend, the brand new East County Library opened to much fanfare! As part of PSAA’s continuing partnership with Multnomah County Library, Ashland, Oregon muralist Xavi Panneton () created a stunning new work for the library’s teen area.

In fall 2025, Xavi workshopped ideas with students from nearby Gresham High School, drawing inspiration from their conversations and artwork to shape the mural’s vision.

Titled “A Special Place,” the mural offers a tailored experience: a beautiful, peaceful, and inspiring environment where teens can relax, connect with friends, find a sense of nature, and dream up the world they want to create.

Designed in a biophilic style, the work, much like the remarkable new library itself, aims to foster a feeling of connection to the natural world within a built environment.

“The design draws from elements the students connected with: rippling water, trees, rocks, and whimsical plants and flowers. Subtle geometric patterns weave through the forms, lending surreal beauty and quiet introspection. Stylistically, it embraces an animated aesthetic over realism. To balance the space’s cooler tones, warm hues like coral, sienna, salmon, magenta, and pink infuse the mural.” — Xavi Panneton, Muralist

Thank you to Xavi for this soothing new addition to the community. And a big congratulations to Holst Architecture and Multnomah County Library on creating such a magnificent, warm, and welcoming space for all.

Big news! GraffLab is back, and this year we’re going bigger. After a sold-out inaugural workshop in 2025, we’re expanding to a full 4-day summer camp experience. More time to learn, more time to connect with artists, and more time to paint.

GraffLab 2026 is a 4-day summer camp in Portland’s Central Eastside Mural District, where teens ages 13 to 18 learn street art directly from local artists, exploring spray technique, cap selection, stenciling, lettering, and collaborative mural-making on a real wall in the district.

But it’s about more than skills. Through the lens of street art, campers dig into bigger questions: Who is this artwork for? How will it impact the neighborhood? What do I want to say with my artwork? By working alongside established artists and engaging with public space as a creative medium, teens build confidence, critical thinking, and a sense of ownership over their own voice, leaving with new skills and the inspiration to keep making.

Cost: $400 for the 4-day camp, with 8 needs-based full scholarships available.

Who: Open to all teens ages 13 to 18.

Required: Teens must bring their own spray paint respirator mask.

Spots: First-come, first-served. Applications close once we’re full.

A powerful new mural titled “Wetlands Spirit” now graces the SE 15th Avenue wall of PSAA’s flagship Ladies Up Project at Morrison Place in Portland. Created by Indigenous artist Kitana Connelly (), this stunning naturescape of a PNW wetland features the native flora of her ancestral lands surrounding an ethereal portrait.

“Wetland Spirit” highlights Native local plant relatives: the broadleaf cattail, big leaf lupine, and deer fern. The halo of greenery surrounds an Indigenous woman spirit wearing a dentalium headdress, which signifies her spiritual power and connection to water.” – Kitana Connelly

Thank you, Kitana, for this incredible new edition to Ladies Up Morrison! You crafted a beautiful narrative for the entire community to enjoy.

Kitana was assisted on this mural by her partner, Christopher Spivery ( ). She is a member of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde with ancestral ties to the Molalla and Klickitat tribes.

Kroger’s Swan Island Dairy is celebrating 70 years in business, and local muralist Blaine Fontana () marked the milestone in style.

The client wanted traditional signage with Swan Island Dairy lettering and a PNW dairy feel, but gave Blaine plenty of creative freedom. He ran with it.

After a tour of the facility and a deep dive into 70 years of historical photos, the design came naturally. Blaine incorporated vintage milk hats from the 50s, a hand-painted lettering style, and a classic EST. banner to honor the dairy’s history. He also snuck in a hidden Sasquatch walking a cow out of the forest.

“After our site meeting, a tour of the facility, and staff providing a treasure chest of historical photos, inspiration came naturally. It was important to design this history inside the mural.” - Blaine Fontana

Artist Devin Finley () expanded his beloved TMNT garage door mural of Rapheall into a full-on 80s nostalgia extravaganza in the parking lot.

The new wall brings the whole Ghostbusters crew to the party, complete with haunting specters and everyone’s favorite green slimeball, Slimer! And the rest of the turtle squad joins Raphael, with Donatello, Michelangelo, and Leonardo now standing guard over Lone Fir Cemetery.

“I had a blast making this mural! For me,  it was cool to take it back to the mid-80’s cartoons I used to watch as a kid.” – Devin Finley
