SHILO IS RESCUED, FOSTERED AND SAFE! From homeless in the rain on the streets of downtown Portland, Oregon to queen of a cozy living room couch! Thank you to everyone who shared Shilo’s post when she was urgent for a foster home! Because a very kind man with a huge heart said “Yes” to fostering Shilo, our dog rescue, which is foster-based, was able to save her. She had no owner and no one committed to her care. She was hungry, thin and sick with a cough and ear infection. Now this sweet girl is blooming. Just look at the expression on her face before and after her rescue. This is the difference that love can make! Shilo is a Staffy mix, about 2 years old. Soon she needs to be spayed and soon she will need her forever home. We’ll be posting more of her story, but for now, she’s happy, warm and safe because her foster dad, Roy, opened his heart and his home to a dog with nowhere to go. The next time you see a post asking for a foster home, kindly remember Shilo and the difference you can make by fostering a homeless or unwanted dog! We thank you. UPDATE!! WE LEARNED THIS MORNING THAT SHILO APPEARS TO BE FINE WITH OTHER DOGS! SHILO needs an emergency foster home now! She’s cold and wet, with no shelter from Portland’s winter rain. She’s in the very temporary care of a homeless man who stepped up to stop her from being passed around from person to person in Portland’s homeless community. Shilo has no owner, no home, no one to love her. She is a pittie mix, about 3 years old and 45 pounds. She’s very sweet, well-mannered and very good with people. She is not spayed and it appears that she recently had puppies, whereabouts unknown. Her vaccination record is not known. UPDATE! WE LEARNED THIS MORNING THAT SHILO APPEARS TO BE FINE WITH OTHER DOGS! Cats are an unknown. Our rescue is foster-based. We can get Shilo off the
the street immediately if you can foster her now! If you can foster, please call us ASAP at (503) 969-2980. Please share this post with your friends! Let’s pull together to get this sweet, homeless girl off the street and out of the rain! She needs help now. Diamond Cut Loyalty Canine Rescue & Pit Bull Rehabilitation in Portland, Oregon.

Dear Santa Paws:

Hi, it’s me, Milo! I’m here with the rest of the Diamond Dogs at Diamond Cut Loyalty Canine Rescue & Pit Bull Rehabilitation in Portland, Oregon. We’re all rescues! We’re writing to say “Happy Holidays” and to let you know that we’ve been very good this year, so please don’t forget us! We could really use your help for some Christmas presents!

There are 6 of us here this year, and here’s our Christmas wish list!
First, there’s me, Milo, and two more big dogs, Frankie and Banjo. Frankie’s a Husky mix. Banjo is a Catahoula Hound, but they should call him a CHATahoula, because he talks all the time! We three big dogs love MILKBONES, SIZE LARGE! The more the merrier! We also love BIG STUFFED ANIMALS! Durable, tough ones are best, because sooner or later we tear them up, but we have so much fun doing it! We also really want KONGS - SIZE XL -BLACK EXTREME, because they’re the only ones made for serious chewers like us!

Then there’s BILLY! He’s a Boston Terrier-Chihuahua mix, about 20 pounds or so. He really loves SMALL OR MEDIUM STUFFED ANIMALS WITH SQUEAKERS inside! He just squeaks the house down! Billy also loves KONG SQUEAKER TENNIS BALLS – the actual tennis ball size! He leaves them all over the yard until we big dogs find them and then its bye, bye tennis balls! So Billy always needs more!

CHATA and SNICKERS are also on our list. Chata is a Chihuahua and Snickers is a Yorkie! They don’t like toys or balls, but they both love COATS AND SWEATERS! Chata’s a girl who’s 11.5 to 12 inches long from neck to tail, and about 14 to 15 inches around the girth. Snickers is a boy who’s 12 inches long from neck to tail, and his girth measures 14 to 15 inches. They would be thrilled with any cozy winter puffy coats or warm sweaters that fit them! They also love BLUE TOP CHEWS CHICKEN & APPLE SAUSAGE BITES! Yep, they both really love those treats!

Santa, we’d also love CHRISTMAS COLLARS! Banjo, Frankie and I are Size Large. Billy is a Size Small – 10 to 16 inches, and Chata and Snickers are Size X-Small. Their collars are 8 to 12 inches long.

If you’d like to know where to send us a present, please TEXT Ronnie Lucero at (503) 969-2980! He runs our rescue and he will gladly tell you!

Thank you, Santa, for reading our Christmas list. What we really wish is for every dog to have a home like ours, with lots of love in it –but if you have the time for us, we’d all love a present from you!

Merry Christmas, Santa Paws! And Mrs. Paws, too! And do give our love to the reindeer! We’ll be sure to leave lots of milk and cookies out for you this year!

All my love,
Milo

FRANKIE IN PORTLAND, OREGON! URGENT NOW FOR A FOSTER OR PERMANENT HOME! Frankie, just rescued, is a Husky mix, about 1 year old. This beautiful boy is very friendly with people and likes other dogs, but no cats, please. Frankie loves walks and does well on a leash. He is not “high energy.” Couch time or lounging on his dog bed is also just fine with him! Frankie is very handsome, sweet and affectionate. He knows basic commands - Sit, Down and Stay. He also knows how to “shake hands.” He is not destructive when he is left alone. Our rescue is foster based. IF YOU ARE DOG EXPERIENCED and IF YOU CAN FOSTER FRANKIE NOW, even on a temporary basis, PLEASE CALL OR TEXT US at (503) 969-2980 TO MEET FRANKIE! Please SHARE THIS POST for him! Frankie needs a foster home now until his “forever home” is found! Diamond Cut Loyalty Canine Rescue & Pit Bull Rehabilitation in Portland, Oregon.

BANJO! RESCUED FROM ABANDONMENT IN PORTLAND, OREGON! NEEDS EMERGENCY FOSTER HOME NOW! My name is Banjo. I was abandoned on a freeway overpass - tied to a post and left all alone. I was so scared! Diamond Cut Loyalty Canine Rescue rescued me from the overpass and saved me from terrible danger. NOW I AM DESPERATE FOR A FOSTER HOME WHERE I CAN BE THE ONLY PET, because it’s not yet known if I get along with other animals. I'm in a very temporary safe place, but IT ENDS IN 24 HOURS AND I HAVE NOWHERE TO GO. I am about 2 years old, part Catahoula and part “mystery mix.” I’m a super sweet guy. I love walks, I love to play ball. I just love to be with you, no matter what you’re doing or where you go! I don't want to go to a shelter after all I've been through, so please don’t suggest it. I just need a foster home! WOULD YOU PLEASE FOSTER ME – and FOSTER ME NOW? If you can foster Banjo or know anyone who can, PLEASE TEXT US ASAP at (503) 969-2980 and we will call you immediately! PLEASE SHARE THIS POST FOR BANJO – he has nowhere to go without your help! Diamond Cut Loyalty Canine Rescue & Pit Bull Rehabilitation in Portland, Oregon. (503) 969-2980

Dear Santa and Mrs. Claus:
My name is B.G. That’s short for Baby Girl. I’m a Diamond Dog – a rescue dog at Diamond Cut Loyalty Canine Rescue & Pit Bull Rehabilitation in Portland, Oregon. We mostly save pit bull types like me.
I’m writing to ask for your help this holiday season. You see, we have 5 very good dogs here that are in need of some Christmas presents! We know that you and the elves are hard at work for all the children around the world, but dogs have Christmas dreams, too! We would be pawsitively thrilled if you remember us here at the rescue!
Here’s our Christmas wish list.
First, for CHATA and SNICKERS: CHATA is a Chihuahua. We call her Butterfly. She’s white with black tipped ears that are turning gray. We rescued her when she was poisoned as a pup and had a broken leg. She’s 11 years old now. She’s a miracle girl. SNICKERS is a black and tan Yorkshire Terrier. We found him tied to a fence with no one to care. His nickname is Woofman. He’s 10, and quite the dramatic character. CHATA and SNICKERS don’t care about toys, but they would both love a warm, winter coat that covers their chests and necks. Thick puffer coats would be perfect! They’re usually Size XS. Both are 12 inches long from the base of their necks to their tails. They also love sweaters!
BILLY BOY is a Boston Terrier/Chihuahua mix – a Bochi, as they’re called. He’s white with black markings and a coat that puffs up when it’s cold. We saved him when he was thrown out of an apartment by a busy highway filled with traffic. His nickname is Commander Billy. He’s 5 years old now. Billy LOVES toys - especially small stuffed animals with squeakers! And he loves KONG Squeaker tennis balls – the more, the merrier!
MILO is our newest rescue. He’s a big, tall fawn-colored fellow – maybe part lab, maybe part shepherd – we don’t know for sure. He’s about 2 years old. He was bounced from home to home his whole life, but now he’s safe here. His nickname is Happy Paws. MILO loves to play fetch and he would love a KONG Black Extreme, Size X-Large, for serious chewers!
Then there’s me, B.G. I was saved from death in a high kill California shelter. I got out just in time! I’m 10 now. I LOVE medium sized stuffed animals with NO squeakers inside, because I have to be honest – sooner or later, I tear them up to get all the stuffing out – it’s so much fun! – and I don’t want to choke on a squeaker! I’d love a KONG, too! BLACK EXTREME LARGE would be the right size for me!
Milo and I would also love warm winter puffer coats, the kind that really cover your chest and neck and keep you toasty! I’m 20 inches long from the base of my neck to my tail. Milo measures 24 inches. Since each brand of coat is different, I guess the length along the back is the best way to figure out our best coat size!
We also LOVE TREATS! Milk Bones and Blue Top Chews Chicken & Apple Bites are our most favorite!
Food is a good Christmas present, too! CHATA, SNICKERS and BILLY BOY love Origen Ancient Grains Small Breed Kibbles. MILO loves Kirkland (Costco) Lamb & Rice Kibbles. My favorite is Kirkland (Costco) Healthy Weight Management Kibbles, because I have to watch my figure.
Well, Santa, thank you very much for reading my letter. We know how busy you are right now. All of us Diamond Dogs have what’s most important - a warm, cozy home at the rescue- but we’d love to get Christmas presents from Santa Paws! We’ve all been very good girls and boys!
If you’d like to know where to send us a present, you can TEXT Ronnie Lucero who runs our rescue at (503) 969-2980 and he will gladly tell you!
Thank you, Santa! All of us dogs really hope that you and Mrs. Claus are doing well! Please say “Hi” to all the elves and reindeer for us. Now I just hope I have enough stamps for my letter to make it all the way up to you at the North Pole!
God bless you and Mrs. Claus this Christmas season and every day of the year!
We won’t forget to leave cookies under the tree for you and carrots for the reindeer.
All my love,
B.G.
