🎉 TODAY (Oct. 13, 2026) is the Voter Registration Deadline for the Nov. 3, 2026, General Election!

Now is the time to register to vote or check that your voter registration information is up to date — including your current residence and mailing address.

To register to vote in Oregon, you must be a U.S. citizen, a resident of Oregon, at least 16 years old (you will receive your ballot once you are 18).

A hearing on PGE's reapplication, the previous version of which was appealed 12-0 by City Council, has been scheduled for October 14th. If approved, this would give PGE the go-ahead to remove 4.7 acres of trees from Forest Park, among other ecological harms. On top of that, the City Administrator has already tasked City Staff to write a report recommending the application's approval, jeopardizing the integrity of the approval process.

If you would like to help us defend Forest Park, you can submit testimony to the city Hearings Officer and rally with us, and other local organizations, at City Hall on the morning of October 14th. 🌲 Update on the fight to protect Forest Park

Last year, Portland City Council unanimously denied Portland General Electric’s permit to build a power line through Forest Park. PGE appealed that decision, and Crag attorneys joined Bird Alliance of Oregon, Forest Park Conservancy, and Forest Park Neighborhood Association in defending the City’s decision before the Oregon Land Use Board of Appeals.

Since then, our clients, PGE, and the City of Portland engaged in mediation in an effort to find a resolution that would protect Forest Park. Unfortunately, the City and PGE ultimately reached an agreement without our clients that would allow PGE to seek a new permit to log five acres in Forest Park, with the City’s support.

In response, our clients scheduled a rally at Portland City Hall on October 14, to which all are invited.

The rally will be an opportunity for community members to learn more and show their support for protecting Forest Park, its wildlife, wetlands, and ancient trees.

Missing Person Alert: Kimberlee Couture

Deputies are seeking help locating Kimberlee Couture, 64, of Portland. Kimberlee was last seen around 7:30 a.m. on September 21, at Providence St. Vincent’s Hospital at 9205 SW Barnes Rd. Kimberlee is 5’5” tall and approximately 170 lbs., with blonde hair and brown eyes. She was seen wearing a black hoodie, black sweatpants, and white athletic shoes.

Kimberlee has a cognitive impairment that may make her seem lost or confused, and she needs daily medical care. Kimberlee does not have a cell phone with her.

Joining us at the celebration today? Park at Skyline Memorial Gardens or the South corner of Skyline & Germantown and take the free shuttle to Skyline Tavern from there.

There's no parking at the Tavern itself, nor on the streets nearby.

The shuttle, a 16-seat van, loops all afternoon from 2 to 5: it picks up at the Skyline & Germantown lot, drops off at the Tavern, swings through Skyline Memorial Gardens, and comes back around. How often it comes depends on riders, so give yourself about 15 minutes. Last drop-offs are right at 5.

Park at either of these lots and hop on the shuttle:

Germantown Road lots — 12000 NW Germantown Rd. Two lots, one on each corner of the intersection.
Skyline Memorial Gardens — 4101 NW Skyline Blvd, enter at Gate 2.
