The Rafiki Village Project is a 501 (c)(3) corporation registered in Oregon in 2016. Our mission is to improve health, increase literacy, and promote economic prosperity in Tanzania by financing community projects in Tanzanian villages. We believe that economic justice compels us to help those in need. Our projects include constructing infrastructure for supplying clean water, renovating classroom

, building housing for teachers, doctors and nurses, and installing solar panels. Projects are chosen based on what communities say they need. From conception to completion, we insist on on a high level of community involvement. We are currently working in Dumbeta Ward in Hanang District. Our initial projects have been focused on helping improve the primary school in the Gishaj Village and the local health clinic.
