Celebrating Community, Careers, and Connection:

Saturday’s Construction Carnival at Dr. Martin Luther King School Park was a great day of community, connection, and fun!

AAAH was excited to join for this special event. Our team had a wonderful time connecting with families, engaging with community members, and bringing some friendly competition to the carnival games at our booth.

Events like this show what can happen when we come together to create meaningful opportunities and celebrate the people and organizations investing in our community.

We’re proud to partner with Constructing Hope and support their continued work to develop our local workforce, expand pathways into the construction trades, and build stronger communities.

A big thank you to for facilitating today’s Portland Community Partner Fund Gathering and to for graciously hosting us and giving us a tour of the beautiful La Plaza Esperanza.

Today was a great reminder of what’s possible when organizations come together, share ideas, build relationships, and learn from one another. Community partnership and collaboration strengthen all of our organizations and, most importantly, the communities we serve.

The African American Alliance for Homeownership (AAAH) is proud to be part of such an impactful network of community partners working together to create greater opportunity, access, and lasting change across our region.

AAAH was proud to participate as a tabling sponsor and connect with community members about the services we provide, including homeownership counseling, foreclosure prevention, home repairs, and energy efficiency programs. Thanks to the incredible support of the Portland Clean Energy Community Benefits Fund (PCEF), AAAH’s Power to the People (P2P) program is adding the P2P Rivian R1T to our energy work fleet!

This electric vehicle will help our team get out into the community more, connect with homeowners, and expand the reach of our energy efficiency work, all while supporting a cleaner, greener future and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
