With the homeownership fair just around the corner, we wanted to do things a little different and spotlight some of the amazing people who we actually work for: our clients!
Minyana purchased her family’s first home in Portland, OR after diligently working through and graduating AAAH’s Homeownership Program. She navigated the homebuying process with a HUD-approved housing counselor who worked with her each step of the way, providing resources and financial education, all the way up to her getting the keys.
We're so proud of Minyana and are sure she will continue to accomplish amazing things post-graduation.

A wonderful afternoon celebrating community, partnership, and progress at the Energy Friendly Homes Program & Partners Team Picnic!

It was great to see so many community partners come together to celebrate the developments and successes of the Energy Friendly Homes Program, made possible through the support of the Portland Clean Energy Community Benefits Fund (PCEF).

We’re grateful for the relationships, collaboration, and commitment that continue to move this work forward. The success of this program is a reflection of what we can accomplish when we invest in both our communities and the partnerships that serve them.

Thank you to the Energy Friendly Homes team, PCEF, and all of our incredible community partners for the work you do every day. Here’s to celebrating the progress we’ve made — and building on it together!

Celebrating Community, Careers, and Connection:

Saturday’s Construction Carnival at Dr. Martin Luther King School Park was a great day of community, connection, and fun!

AAAH was excited to join for this special event. Our team had a wonderful time connecting with families, engaging with community members, and bringing some friendly competition to the carnival games at our booth.

Events like this show what can happen when we come together to create meaningful opportunities and celebrate the people and organizations investing in our community.

We’re proud to partner with Constructing Hope and support their continued work to develop our local workforce, expand pathways into the construction trades, and build stronger communities.

Here’s to more opportunities, more partnerships, and more reasons to celebrate together!

A big thank you to for facilitating today’s Portland Community Partner Fund Gathering and to for graciously hosting us and giving us a tour of the beautiful La Plaza Esperanza.

Today was a great reminder of what’s possible when organizations come together, share ideas, build relationships, and learn from one another. Community partnership and collaboration strengthen all of our organizations and, most importantly, the communities we serve.

The African American Alliance for Homeownership (AAAH) is proud to be part of such an impactful network of community partners working together to create greater opportunity, access, and lasting change across our region.

Thank you to everyone who made today meaningful. We look forward to continuing to build together.
